For 42 minutes, I listened to the track that inspired the name of this image. 'To Far Away Times,' a remix of the Chrono Trigger credits theme, off my SquareDance album. There's something about video game music...it makes me feel like spreading wings and soaring.

The game Chrono Trigger is about time travel, and as I did this image, I thought about how astronomy is like time travel. When you look at the stars, you'll looking back in time, and seeing things as they were hundreds, thousands, and millions of years ago. I've always been one to stare in awe at the night sky, and I will never lose that sense of wonder that a starry sky brings me. I wanted to capture that sense of wonder in this image, of Illucian soaring in the cosmos.
